Generally the class predicted that the box girder would be the strongest of the three beams. Many hypothesis' said so because of the rectangular beams attached underneath. Riley L. said it would be like three beams in one. We agreed that should make it stronger. We started with the accordion beam and kept adding weight...and more weight...and more... |
Eventually for the sake of time, we decided we better try the mass of 300 cm cubes with the other beams because we couldn't believe how strong it was. To break the tie, we decided to put all the cm cubes back in their container and test the weight of all 500 cm cubes! The result...the box girder did not hold up. The accordion beam on the other hand...WOW!
