This lesson was nerve racking! Students were on the end of their seats watching popsicle sticks bend to unbelieveable dips. Our hypothesis' were pretty accurate in which type of connection might be the strongest, but we were way off on how much weight they could support. In hindsight, I think popsicle sticks splintering and flying across the room is probably a hazard so some face shields may be necessary in the future! Student reactions when each connection finally failed were totally worth it. |
