We finished Muggie Maggie by Beverly Cleary a couple weeks ago. The students were learning cursive handwriting right alongside the main character, Maggie. This book had many challenging juicy words. We were able to practice using the dictionary quite a few times. We learned what words like indignant meant and expanded our vocabulary. In the picture, students are trying to read the teacher's cursive handwriting. Just like Maggie, they are learning to decipher cursive as well as write it. Students, write what you thought of the book, in the comment section. |
